Frequently Asked Questions
Do my QR codes keep working if my subscription expires?
A static QR code has its destination encoded directly in the image, so it always works. It cannot be disabled, and it cannot be changed.
A dynamic QR code stops redirecting to its destination if your subscription lapses. Customers who scan it see a message that the QR code is not currently active, like this. Your QR codes become active again the instant you resubscribe. We will never use an inactive dynamic QR code to advertise to your customers.
What happens to my account if my subscription expires?
- We keep your metrics for the same 90 days, and you can still view and download them.
- We still count scans of your inactive QR codes in real time.
- You can still create static QR codes, and view, download, or copy any static or dynamic QR code in your account.
- You can still upload and use your custom art.
All of your account features are seamlessly restored when you resubscribe.
Do you offer a free trial?
We don’t currently offer an automatic free trial. A common frustration with QR code platforms is the “free trial trap”: you make dynamic QR codes during a free trial, and find out later that they were deactivated because you didn’t pay for a subscription.
We never want you to feel like your QR codes are being held hostage. PlanQR is upfront that dynamic QR codes require an active subscription, so yours will never stop working unexpectedly.
That said, we want you to be 100% confident in our platform. If you sign up and realize within the first 30 days of your new subscription that it isn’t the right fit, just let us know and we’ll give you a full refund, no questions asked.
